Established in 2009, the LA Food Fest was LA’s first, and original, food tasting event celebrating the tastes, cultures, and communities of the city. Returning for its 9th year in a row with new flavors, features, and offerings, the LA Food Fest continually improves, solidifying its title as the largest and longest-running tasting event in the area. LA food reviewers, such as the LA Times and TimeOut, recognize the event as a celebration of LA’s vibrant community and food culture that continually proves its reputation as LA’s most diverse and accessible food event for the 9th consecutive year.

On Saturday, September 8th, 2018, the LA Food Fest will open its doors to VIP admissions at 2pm and general entry at 3pm, with the single-day event closing that night at 7pm. While ticket prices to the fest seem relatively expensive ($65 for general; $95 for VIP), one ticket price includes everything you can eat and drink. With over 100 signature samples from award-winning restaurants and celebrity chefs, tequila tasting, ice cream socials and craft beer gardens, the LA Food Fest guarantees more bang for your buck. What once started as a food-focused event has grown into an all-inclusive extravaganza with 5 Guest Top Chefs, five live on-stage cooking demonstrations, and three best event awards.

As previously mentioned, ticket prices range from $65 to $95, but what is the difference? $95 VIP ticket holders gain access to the event one hour early, allowing attendees to get first dibs and avoid waiting in long lines. VIP tickets also receive special parking and access to the VIP Lounge, as well as everything already included in general admission. General admission provides signature sampling from over 100 of LA’s, Mexico City’s, and Baja’s best award-winning chefs, restaurants, food trucks, stands and street carts; Mexico’s Top Chefs, craft microbrews, and tequila tasting; craft beer gardens and the new Oktoberfest Beer Garden; Iced Coffee Lounge featuring over a dozen top roasters; six bars featuring LA’s Top mixologists; and the city’s best frozen and sweet streets at the Ice Cream Social.

But the Food Fest doesn’t stop there! Enjoy the hottest tunes and entertainment from select DJ’s, take photos with your favorite chef at the photo booths, and chat about your favorite vendors with top food writers and critics. Need a rest? Grab a picnic blanket and relax on the grass. Whatever your pleasure, the LA Food Fest is bound to please.
